Creating Authentic Learning Environments for Flexible Career Pathways

Career Technical Education encompasses a large variety of hands-on learning spaces. Understanding the similarities and differences between various CTE pathways will be key to maximizing the value of your space and designing for authenticity. The presenters will discuss 2 case studies that highlight the importance of authentic learning environments, whether in a K-12, HigherEd, or hybrid campus model, regardless of geographic location. The presenters will share the top five lessons learned from their practice to successfully create varied learning spaces that balance design rigidity and flexibility, such as Building Construction, Automotive, Health Sciences, or Human Services.
