Putting Plans into Action: A Case Study of UW's Reaction to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Like many schools and universities, the University of Washington (UW) closed campus in March and moved to remote learning. As soon as this happened, the Director of Building Services, Gene Woodard, sprang into action to develop an action plan surrounding COVID-19. As the situation with the pandemic has evolved, so have Gene’s plans. UW began the academic year on plan number four. Join Tennant Company for a conversation with Gene and Dave Frank, President of the American Institute for Cleaning Science, on what worked, what didn't work and how the UW Building Services team is moving forward today.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Build a plan
  • Communicate your plan
  • Design for pivots
  • Factor in budget implications
