SeniorCare.com Announces the $1,500 Aging Matters College Scholarship

ST LOUIS, MO – The Aging Matters Scholarship will be awarded annually to a college student that demonstrates a unique understanding and admirable passion for assisting the growing aging population. SeniorCare.com wants to shine the light on the awareness and respect that those in the younger generation have for the country’s aging demographic.

Carol Marak, a leading aging advocate and editor for SeniorCare.com, explains the importance of the scholarship, “We want to bring attention to the good things young people do to help our aging population. We hope the scholarship brings a small amount of relief to a student that understands that Aging Matters.”

The $1,500 scholarship will be awarded annually to any incoming freshman, existing undergrad or graduate student in good academic standing at a two- or four-year accredited college. The winning recipient may be involved in the care of an aging loved one, might currently work within the senior community, or have a plan to pursue a career that impacts the elder population. The winning applicant will be the student that best describes in a short essay how "Aging Matters” to them.

Applications are now open for the SeniorCare.com Aging Matters Scholarship and will run up until May 15, 2016, with the winner selected by June 15, 2016. All applications must be submitted online at www.seniorcare.com/scholarship/.
