2017 AHR Expo Innovation Awards Ceremony Time, Date and Location Announced

Westport, Conn. –  As a highlight of the 2017 Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo), to be held next January 30 to February 1 in Las Vegas, the 2017 AHR Expo Innovation Awards ceremony has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 31.

From 1:00 to 2:00 pm in Las Vegas Convention Center room N253 (on the second floor of the North Hall), the 2017 AHR Expo Innovation Awards will honor the most inventive and original products, systems and technologies showcased at this year’s Show in the categories of:  building automation; cooling; green building; heating; indoor air quality; plumbing; refrigeration; software; tools & instruments; and ventilation.

Additionally, one 2017 AHR Expo Product of the Year award winner, selected from among the 10 category winners, will be announced during the ceremony on January 31.

All 2017 AHR Expo Innovation Award winners have been selected by a panel of third-party ASHRAE member judges who evaluated each entry based on innovative design, creativity, application, value and market impact.

“The innovative and creative product development demonstrated by this year’s Award winners has served to confirm the HVACR Industry’s ongoing vitality and forward thinking.  It is exciting to see all the emerging technologies that are bringing about better and better solutions to the challenges we face,” said Clay Stevens, president of International Exposition Company.

    St. Lucie Public Schools in St. Lucie County, Fla., recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new K–8 school, according to a news release. The district partnered with Spiezle Architectural Group, Inc., for the design of the upcoming Ft. Pierce K–8 School, which comprises six buildings covering 215,000 square feet.
