Northcentral University Announces the Center for the Advancement of Virtual Organizations

LA JOLLA, CA – Northcentral University's School of Business is proud to announce the Center for the Advancement of Virtual Organizations (CAVO).

The Center is a hub for relevant, current information and practices supporting a diverse population of industry professionals and educators in all aspects of virtual work. Hosting both real-world examples and research relating to virtual work, the Center will feature experts in remote workforce, innovations in virtual work, and remote work technologies. Through these experts and their research, the Center will grow and offer an open knowledge base and expertise in all aspects of virtual employment.

"Northcentral University has been a virtual organization since its inception, developing and enhancing remote employees, policies and operations for more than 20 years. The emergence of the Center for the Advancement of Virtual Organizations provides the pathway for us to openly share our experiences, showcase best practices, lead research initiatives, and engage in meaningful dialogue with organizations around the globe," says Dr. Tammi Cooper, dean of the School of Business.

The information available in the Center will initially focus on emergency preparedness and the logistics of abruptly shifting organizations to remote work. The first episode in the CAVO podcast series discusses Senior Leader Considerations in Emergency Situations and is hosted by Dr. David Harpool and Dr. Tammi Cooper. As the needs of organizations evolve throughout this time, the Center will continuously share new resources, expert opinions, and educational offerings.

All of the Center's resources are openly available via www.ncu.edu/center-advancement-virtual-organizations.
