New Software Provides Near-Paperless Campus

Central Carolina Community College

Softdocs has provided Central Carolina with a single signon approach to access content and ensure all data is secure. Sensitive and confidential documents are protected.

Focused on the success of its students, Central Carolina Community College, a two-year college serving residents in and around Sanford, NC, recognized it needed a fresh approach to its business operations that would greatly improve efficiencies directly impacting its core mission.

A Softdocs print customization customer since 2007, Central Carolina selected the company’s Etrieve solution in 2015 for enterprise content management, electronic forms and process automation. With filing cabinets, storage rooms and desks overflowing with paper, the institution knew Softdocs could help create a more paperless process and improve productivity across all campuses.

Etrieve has helped Central Carolina staff across the institution fill in workflow gaps. From finance to HR to student services, employees and students benefit from electronic workflow and ERP-centric document management. Previously, users had to physically print or send an email to complete a form, which created blind spots in terms of document processing.

Softdocs has provided Central Carolina with a single sign-on approach to access content and ensure all data is secure. Sensitive and confidential documents are protected with Etrieve’s centralized authentication model and extensive audit trail capabilities.

Monte Christman, the associate director of IT for Central Carolina, says, “Across the board, we’ve had very positive feedback. Forms and administrative tasks can be processed within minutes. This previously took weeks and now we have deeper insight into records across departments. Central Carolina staff picked up the process easily.”

With advanced integration capabilities, Central Carolina can push and pull data from its ERP, Ellucian Colleague, and other on-site databases to help manage and complete e-forms. Completely browser-based and built on a mobile-first philosophy, users can access Etrieve regardless of device and OS type.

Central Carolina has utilized Softdocs Etrieve platform to transform its business operations in favor of a more efficient paperless environment.
