FLGI Publishes the Top 100 Educators Leading Flipped Learning in 2017

Chicago – Today, the Flipped Learning Global Initiative (FLGI), a worldwide coalition of educators, researchers, technologists, professional development providers and education leaders, announced the publication of the FLGI 100. The annual list identifies the top 100 K-12 educators who are driving the adoption of the flipped classroom around the world.  The list is compiled by the FLGI executive committee - led by Jon Bergmann, Chief Academic Officer and one of the pioneers of the flipped classroom movement. Educators from around the globe are represented, including flipped learning practitioners from Italy, China, Taiwan, Spain, UAE, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Italy, Korea, Argentina, Iceland, Sweden, India and the United States. This year the initiative also identified the top 40 Flipped Learning leaders in higher education; the top 40 Flipped Learning administrators and tech coaches; and the top 10 Flipped Learning corporate training leaders worldwide.

"The 2017 FLGI Flipped Learning Leaders lists includes some of the most experienced, innovative and proactive education and training professionals in the world," said Jon Bergmann. "These are the people driving Flipped Learning forward in thought and action and demonstrating what is possible when Flipped Learning is done well."

The FLGI Flipped Learning Leaders list is updated annually and all four lists can be seen at flglobal.org/leaders2017.

  • Florida State University Selects Architect for Lacrosse Stadium

    Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla., recently announced that it has selected PBK Architects as the designer for its new lacrosse stadium, according to a university news release. The university’s women’s lacrosse team will play its inaugural season in spring 2026 along with the stadium’s completion.

  • Massachusetts High School to Build New Athletics Facility

    Middlesex School, which serves boarding and day students in grades 9–12, recently moved forward with plans to build a new athletics facility for its campus in Concord, Mass., according to a news release. MassDevelopment recently issued a $43.7-million tax-exempt bond to fund the project.
