New Georgia High School Nears Completion

The Monroe Comprehensive High School in Albany, Ga., recently grew through another phase of construction toward an eventual new school. The project, which recently saw students moving into the School’s new academic wing, will be completed in 2019.

Along with a new gymnasium and athletic complex, the new facility will also feature a wing for the fine arts, and plenty of space for classrooms. New portions of the project will be completed every 10-11 months until completion.

The facility is one of the largest engineering buildings in the state at almost 200,000 square feet, and it plays home to the university’s Smith College of Engineering and Technology (SCET).
