School Improvement Network and Seattle Pacific University Partner to Create Five New Graduate Courses for Educators

The partnership will provide educators with access to online courses where they can earn continuing education/professional development credits as they read select LumiBook ebooks.

School Improvement Network is excited to announce a partnership with Seattle Pacific University that will allow educators who read LumiBooks—the company’s proprietary enhanced ebooks—to earn continuing education and/or professional development credits.

Online courses have been created around five existing LumiBooks: Conscious Classroom Management by Rick Smith and Grace Dearborn, Mapping to the Core LiveBook and Live Planner by Dr. Heidi Hayes Jacobs and the team at Curriculum 21, Core Learning: Assessing What Matters Most by Jay McTighe, and A Professional Learning Pathway to Common Core Success by Dr. Lisa Leith. Each course is designed as a companion piece to its corresponding LumiBook, giving readers the opportunity to complete the course as they work their way through the ebook.

“At School Improvement Network, our top priority is to help teachers and education leaders hone their practice,” said Chet Linton, CEO and president of School Improvement Network. “These courses will help do just that, as they expose readers to new and innovative ways of improving everything from formative assessments to classroom management and Common Core implementation. And because they can be completed for credit, these courses have the dual benefit of helping educators fulfill their professional goals of working toward a degree or recertification.”

Educators can register now for any of the Seattle Pacific University LumiBook courses.
