The Independent College Bookstore Association Partners With ThinkEDU to Provide Technology E-Commerce Stores to Member Bookstores

CHICAGO, IL – The Independent College Bookstore Association (ICBA) has launched a new preferred partner program with ThinkEDU, an e-commerce company dedicated to serving college students, staff and faculty. The pairing will offer ICBA member stores the opportunity to provide qualified students, staff, and faculty access to a customized eStore stocked with highly discounted software, hardware, and related technology items. For participating ICBA members, ThinkEDU will manage the online stores, an example of which can be found at www.thinkedu.com/icba. ThinkEDU will be responsible for merchandising as well as all logistics including academic verification and customer service.

“We are excited to partner with ThinkEDU,” says Jonathan Bibo, ICBA chief operating officer. “The talented team at ThinkEDU has decades of successful experience working directly with college students and educators marketing software and related technology items. Together, we believe the new program can benefit our 150+ member college bookstores and the millions of students and faculty they serve. ICBA member stores represent over $1.7 billion in total retail sales. As a result of this new program, ICBA members will have a new option to enable their students, faculty, and staff to gain access to academically discounted products, all with the ease of online shopping.”

“We were delighted to partner with ICBA,” comments Michael Fischler, CEO of ThinkEDU. “We are extremely proud to serve ICBA and its 150+ independent college bookstore members. We feel we are filling a big need. We believe ThinkEDU can help ICBA member stores extend and enhance their overall ecommerce offerings, especially in the area of software and technology products.”

“We invite all store directors and store buyers to check out our solution,” added Fischler. “Qualified academic shoppers will find access to deeply discounted and downloadable software from companies like Adobe, Rosetta Stone, SPSS, Intuit, and Microsoft and related technology items, saving as much as 85% off the commercial suggested retail price.”
