Mirabella at ASU Tops Out at Arizona State University

PHOENIX, AZ – The topping out of Mirabella at ASU, a $167 million, 20-story Life Plan Community being built on the campus of Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, was recently celebrated by McCarthy Building Companies. The topping-out ceremony marks the placement of the final beam atop the 613,992-square-foot tower and celebrates the achievement of this milestone.

Mirabella at Arizona State University

Mirabella at ASU blends a senior community lifestyle with the learning and recreational environment of Arizona State University, delivered with resort-style amenities in spacious penthouses and apartments ranging from 751 square feet to 2,665 square feet. The 20-story tower includes four dining venues, three of which are located on the penthouse level, an indoor pool and wellness center, an event center, a wood shop, game room, on-site physical therapy, a library and underground parking.

The project is being developed by Pacific Retirement Services (PRS) in partnership with University Realty, a subsidiary of ASU Enterprise Partners, both nonprofit entities that raise private resources for the university. Portland-based Ankrom Moissan Architects is the project designer.

Under a collaboration agreement with ASU, residents of the Mirabella community (called Founding Members) will be able to attend and participate in ASU classes, activities and programs. PRS is working with the ASU Foundation to provide social opportunities, lifelong learning and entertainment opportunities that will offer a landing place for older, retired alumni and others desiring to reacquaint themselves with life in the Valley of the Sun.

Mirabella at ASU will have independent-living, assisted-living and memory-support options, and private suites with skilled nursing care. Mirabella at ASU will offer approximately 252 independent-living apartments, 11 assisted-living apartments, 20 memory-support suites, and 21 private skilled nursing suites.

Completion of the project is scheduled for August 2020. For more information, visit www.retirement.org/mirabella-asu.
