Awards: Nominations Now Open for 2024 Best of Green Schools Program

Nominations are now open for the 2024 Best of Green Schools Awards program, sponsored by the Center for Green Schools (part of the U.S. Green Building Council) and the nonprofit Green Schools National Network.

The awards will honor individuals, organizations, K–12 schools, K–12 school districts, and individual initiatives/events/programs that have helped advance or promote green policies, sustainability, healthy environments, or systemic change for creating greener schools during the 2022–2023 school year. Individual awards will be given to educators, students, policymakers, "ambassadors," "district champions," and "collaborators." Awards will be presented at the 2024 Green Schools Conference, to be held in March 2024 in New Mexico.

Nominations will be judged by a panel of green school leaders and advocates, according to USGBC. Nominations are open to all schools worldwide. A list of the previous year's award recipients can be found on the Council for Green Schools site.
