New Elementary School Unveils Custom Digital Displays

The school chose commercial OLED displays from LG Business Solutions, including curved displays that are adaptable for ceiling and wall designs. The displays offer immersive experiences and showcases content in ways that are welcoming to students, teachers, parents, and guests.

The displays used at the school required specific mounting systems to ensure safe installation and maintenance, Senior Enterprise Account Manager, Adams Salinas told Spaces4Learning. The school specifically worked with Snap Install and Peerless-AV to mount the displays.

“Peerless-AV designed custom video wall mounting systems to be used in the lobby, and Peerless-AV standard video wall mounts were selected for the video walls located on the 4th floor,” Salinas said. “Schools looking to employ a similar solution should consult with a local systems integration partner to implement a digital display system of this scale.”

The district decided to install engaging digital displays in various locations throughout Sherlock School, including the main entrance and the 4th floor interactive space. The main lobby features 34 curved LG Open Frame OLED displays — 24 units on the ceiling and 10 units in two columns on the wall, supported by Peerless-AV’s mounting solutions. The 4th floor includes two video walls, each made up of eight LG Narrow Bezel displays and eight Peerless-AV SmartMount Supreme Full Service Video Wall Mounts.

“While the benefits of implementing digital signage are truly endless, this signage specifically give IT staffers the ability to communicate to students and staff in real time and allows them to incorporate a theme or message in any given location.” Salinas said.
