AASHE Sustainability Awards Submissions Open

The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) is currently accepting applications for the annual AASHE Sustainability Awards. The AASHE Sustainability Awards recognize sustainability achievements, research advancements, student leadership and outstanding leaders at institutions of higher education.

By raising the visibility of high-impact sustainability projects and pioneering research across college and university campuses, the awards program helps to disseminate innovations and inspire continued progress toward sustainability.

Award categories are:

  • Campus Sustainability Achievement Award. This award honors higher education institutions for successful implementation of projects that advance sustainability.
  • Campus Sustainability Research Award. This award recognizes published and unpublished research that contributes to the advancement of sustainability in higher education.
  • Student Sustainability Leadership Award. This award honors students and/or student teams from higher education who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in promoting sustainability on campus.
  • Lifetime Achievement Award. This award honors outstanding leaders who have made significant contributions to the advancement of sustainability in higher education over their lifetimes.

    Pudu Robotics recently launched the newest member of its MT1 series of robotic floor sweepers, the PUDU MT1 Max, according to a news release. The AI-powered, 3D perception robotic sweeper was designed for use in large, complex cleaning environments both indoors and semi-outdoors, like parking garages and semi-open building atriums.

  • FAU Starts Construction on Holocaust and Jewish Studies Building

    Florida Atlantic University recently began construction on a new academic building for its campus in Boca Raton, Fla., according to university news. The Kurt and Marilyn Wallach Holocaust and Jewish Studies Building will stand two stories, measure in at 22,000 square feet, and play home to the university’s Holocaust education and Jewish studies programs.
