Sharp NEC Display Solutions Debuts New LCD Laser Projectors

Sharp NEC Display Solutions, which provides projectors and displays to a worldwide market, recently announced the addition of two new LCD laser projectors to its PE Series. The PE506UL and PE506WL were designed for use in K–12, higher education and corporate spaces and provide high-resolution images at a brightness of 5,200 lumens, according to a news release.

“To meet the ever-changing needs of our customers, we’ve upgraded our PE Series entry-installation laser projector lineup with brighter, more flexible solutions for projector replacements or new installations. The upgraded PE Series projectors are among the smallest and lightest 5,000-lumen projectors in the market and include advanced features ideal for socially distanced classrooms, large lecture halls or even corporate environments,” said Ryan Pitterle, Product Manager, Sharp NEC Display Solutions. “The PE506UL and PE506WL are perfect for the cost-conscious customer looking to make the lamp-to-laser transition.”

The news release states that the PE506UL offers WUXGA 1920x1200 resolution and the PE506WL offers WXGA 1280x800 resolution. The light source offers a minimum of 20,000 hours of life to reduce both maintenance requirements and total cost of ownership. The LCD technology offers clear and dynamic images, bright colors, and both manual horizontal and vertical lens shift for ease of installation.
