Florida State University Selects Architect for Lacrosse Stadium

Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla., recently announced that it has selected PBK Architects as the designer for its new lacrosse stadium, according to a university news release. The university’s women’s lacrosse team will play its inaugural season in spring 2026 along with the stadium’s completion. The university signed 14 players in November 2024 as part of its inaugural signing class.

"This is another exciting step for our lacrosse program," Florida State vice president and director of athletics Michael Alford said. "PBK is an industry leader in fan-friendly, functional spaces for the future of college athletics. Our lacrosse-only stadium will feature multiple social spaces, fan amenities and different seating options to offer an exceptional viewing experience for our fans and help create a true home-field advantage for our team."

Amenities will include a turf field, press box, and multiple seating areas for fans. The stadium’s team building will feature locker rooms, meeting rooms, a team lounge, and more.

"The home of Seminoles lacrosse will provide a state-of-the-art facility for our student-athletes to train and strengthen their bonds as teammates," Florida State head coach Sara Tisdale said. "There will be elements incorporated into this stadium that no other program in the country has, which will give us an immediate advantage for the first group of FSU lacrosse players while showing future Seminoles that this facility is truly focused on creating an incredible student-athlete experience. As we prepare to host our first game, the loyal Florida State fan base will be welcomed into a facility that creates a dynamic environment for them to cheer us on to victory."
