Pangram Secures Funding for AI Detection Technology

Pangram, which provides technology that detects AI-generated text, recently announced that it has secured nearly $4 million in pre-seed and seed funding, according to a news release. The most recent round of investments, totaling $2.7 million, come on top of the pre-existing seed fund of $1.25 million.

“Identifying AI text with confidence is increasingly essential across education, business, and the media, and we have the best technology to do that,” said Max Spero, Pangram Co-Founder and CEO. “Our investors recognize the potency and accuracy of our technology and are standing with Pangram as we continue to gain customers and improve our value proposition.”

According to the news release, the funding will go toward developing relationships with higher education institutions to help them address misuse and abuse of AI among students. The company’s existing customer base consists of business and media support organizations that use the technology to verify the authenticity of developing news and product reviews.

The top investors in the seed round were ScOp, Script Capital, Cadenza, and a small group of individual investors.

“We set out to build the most accurate AI detection technology, one that can be trusted in education and business sectors, and Pangram has proven this out time and time again,” said Spero.
