Extron, CENTEGIX Partner for Comprehensive School Security Solution

Professional audiovisual solutions provider Extron recently announced a partnership with CENTEGIX, which provides rapid incident response technology, to integrate two of their top products in the name of school safety. Integrating the Extron GlobalViewer Campus Communication Suite with the CENTEGIX Safety Platform will offer a single solution providing intercom, visual messaging, bells, public address announcements, network monitoring, and control-of-classroom-AV with wearable safety technology, according to a news release.

"Our partnership with CENTEGIX represents a significant step forward in delivering comprehensive solutions for campus communication and safety,” said Extron’s Anthony Cortes, Director of Sales and Marketing, Education Classroom Systems. “By integrating the CENTEGIX Safety Platform with our GlobalViewer Campus Communication Suite, we empower schools with seamless access to critical AV and safety tools, ensuring a more connected and secure learning environment.”

The system allows teachers and staff to discreetly request help as needed. It can trigger instant audio and visual notifications either in a focused area of campus or campus-wide. The Extron system creates a two-way voice communication that can connect users with the front office, help desk, or other classrooms. The CENTEGIX platform turns these capabilities into wearable technology that lets staff summon help or trigger assistance with the push of a button, the news release reports.

“CENTEGIX is committed to innovating safety solutions to empower and protect people every day,” said Vince Zappa, Chief Product Officer of CENTEGIX. “This integration with Extron significantly expands the reach of our Safety Platform and strengthens real-time communication. Most importantly, it ensures that emergency notifications reach everyone immediately, enabling immediate action and adherence to safety protocols in any safety situation.”
