Kimball International Receives Three Awards from Interior Design Magazine

Commercial furnishings manufacturer Kimball International recently announced that it has received three Best of Year (BoY) Awards from Interior Magazine. The awards recognize designers, manufacturers, and architects around the world to both showcase modern design and indicate the direction of future trends.

“The BoY awards are distinguished because they judge products holistically, from innovation to functionality to aesthetics,” said Kimball International’s Vice President of Product Marketing, Angie Schuch. “Being recognized in three categories is such an honor. These awards confirm that our design and development process is exceptional and provides product solutions that are relevant, beautiful, and appreciated.”

Kimball’s BoY-award-winning products were the Kithara (Contract Lounge Collection category), the Picado (Contract Task Seating category), and the Mariben (Contract Tables category).

The Kithara Lounge features a set of lounge seating and occasional tables sculpted with hardwood frames and boasting plush cushions, elevated tabletop materiality, and hand-stitching. The Picado Seating offers a monochromatic palette designed for multipurpose spaces and collaborative settings. The line comes with a variety of worksurface and stool height solutions. Finally, the Mariben Pull-Up Tables feature a crescent-shaped base plate to allow close quarters with chair legs or lounge seating. The options feature mixed materials, adjustable heights, and tabletops of various shapes.
