Minnesota District Partners with Kraus-Anderson on Four Construction Projects

Stillwater Area Schools in Lake Elmo, Minn., recently announced a partnership with Kraus-Anderson for construction projects at four schools in the district, according to a news release. The projects’ funding comes from a $175-million referendum passed in November 2023. The projects include replacement facilities for Lake Elmo and Andersen Elementary Schools, an expansion at Oak-Land Middle School, and renovations to Stillwater Area High School.

The new, 150,000-square-foot Lake Elmo facility will include amenities like 53 flexible classrooms; breakout areas and collaboration space; and specialized areas for music, art, media, and special education. Outdoor amenities will include two kickball fields, playground spaces, and parking lots with dedicated traffic-flow direction, the news release reports.

Lastly, Stillwater Area High School’s 10,910-square-foot project includes an office addition and renovations gym equipment, patient lift, interior partitions, floors, ceilings, roofing, and various maintenance improvements, the news release reports.

The district also partnered with Wold Architects and Engineers for the projects’ designs. Construction has an estimated completion date of August 2025.
