InternationalStudent.com Launches 10th Annual Travel Video Contest

NEPTUNE BEACH, FL – Envisage International Corporation, a leader in the field of international education marketing for students and academic institutions alike, is proud to announce the September 1st launch of the 2015 InternationalStudent.com Travel Video Contest. Now in its tenth year, the contest provides current and prospective international students with the opportunity to compete for a $4,000 grand prize, Viewers’ Choice award and a variety of smaller cash prizes.

“Culminating each year during International Education week, our video contest continues to grow faster than we could have imagined, with submissions originating from nearly every corner of the globe,” comments Bryanna Davis, marketing manager at Envisage International. “With this year marking the contest’s tenth anniversary, we anticipate an even more dramatic rise in the quantity of submissions, in addition to the quality of both visual and storytelling aspects of each entry.”

Focused exclusively on the subject of international education, the contest requires current international students and those in the pursuit of becoming an international student to create a short video describing a trip they would like to take in the future. Students who have yet to study outside of their home country are encouraged to focus their submission on the experiences and insight they wish to gain as a future international or study abroad student.

Refusing to restrict the creative and dynamic nature of submissions, International Student has set parameters only on the length and subject matter of each entry. “We thoroughly enjoy providing students with the ultimate creative freedom to share their stories, experiences, and passion for travel in the way they deem to be most appropriate,” shares Davis. “In the past we’ve received countless heartfelt and oftentimes visually stunning submissions, from vibrant animated films to heartwarming stop-motion pictures; we love them all.”

The grand-prize winner of the Travel Video Contest, in addition to a $4,000 cash prize, will also be awarded a blog on the popular site, InternationalStudent.com. Designed to help the winner record his or her experiences abroad, the blog will span the full duration of the student’s international program and commence as soon as the winner has been notified. Previous contest winners have utilized the blog to help provide a unique perspective into the challenges and overwhelming rewards associated with studying abroad, creating a first-hand account for aspiring international students worldwide.

Entries cannot exceed five minutes in length, and must be submitted by an aspiring or current international student over the age of 18. The final submission deadline is October 22, 2015, and potential contestants are encouraged to read all submission details available on internationalstudent.com/contest.

After the submission deadline the staff of International Student will judge each entry based upon creativity and video quality, as well as originality and interest level of the trip, to choose the contest’s finalists. Viewer voting will determine the Viewers’ Choice Award winner, who is automatically entered into the finalist round. Once all finalists have been determined, a judges’ panel of ten leaders in international education will choose the overall winners, to be announced on November 20, 2015.
