Tarkett Launches New Carpet Collection by Designer Jhane Barnes

Tarkett, a flooring and sports surface solutions company, launched a new carpet collection in partnership with menswear designer Jhane Barnes.

Fabricate, the new carpet collection by designer Jhane Barnes.

Barnes created the new commercial carpet collection, Fabricate, to hide soil and coordinate easily with other flooring selections offered by Tarkett. Barnes developed an innovative design technique that flips and rotates “a series of tiny repeating modules, creating an almost-solid visual,” states the company. “Each six-foot repeat includes more than a thousand rotating motifs, making the overall pattern impossible to find.”

The line comes in a variety of neutrals and a few pops of color. The Fabricate collection was designed to complement Barnes’ other products in the Tarkett portfolio including the Blockade and Soundblock series, for easy paring.

Fabricate is available in Powerbond®  for quick installation in large spaces, or modular tile for smaller areas and creative inserts. In addition, the collection is made with a non-PVC backing made from recycled windshields.

Jhane Barnes’s menswear label was found in stores like Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Nordstrom. She has designed textiles and furniture for more than a decade and carpet for Tarkett for 23 years.

Tarkett offers a wide range of flooring products including vinyl, linoleum, rubber, carpet, wood, laminate, artificial turf and athletics tracks for a variety of industries.
