Legends at Kingsville is 100 Percent Leased, Ready For Texas A&M Kingsville Students Come August

KINGSVILLE, TX — Domus Development, a veteran student housing development company based in Dallas, recently today that its new luxury, off-campus student housing community, Legends at Kingsville, is already at full capacity for the Texas A&M Kingsville 2015-2016 school year. The community was successfully leased up in six short weeks.

Legends at KingsvilleAsset Campus Housing (ACH), the largest management and privately held student housing company in the U.S., was hired by Domus Development to lease and manage the property with the hope of an early lease-up. Less than 45 days after opening the leasing office and model, the community was 100 percent leased.

“ACH has done it again and in a record amount of time,” says Eric Jakimier, owner of Domus Development and a student housing industry veteran. “Legends at Kingsville is the fourth project we have hired ACH for, and each time they successfully lease the property earlier than expected. Even with students leaving for winter break, ACH went above and beyond in exceeding our leasing projections for Legends at Kingsville. Not only did Legends at Kingsville fill up fast, but it also outperformed pro forma rents and came in under budget, plus we were able to do it all in less than 45 days, a new record we’re proud we achieved.”

Legends at Kingsville, located adjacent to the Texas A&M Kingsville campus, will provide students with a wide range of amenities to create an ideal community for residents to live, study and play when the first phase opens in August. Residents were able to choose from a variety of spacious floor plans including one-, two- and four-bedroom options. The individual apartments will come fully furnished with modern appliances, ceiling fans, full-size washer and dryer and more.

“Legends at Kingsville is an unique student housing community and we’re thrilled to welcome all of our residents for a great year ahead and we couldn’t be happier with the progress we’ve made in a short period of time,” says Joe Goodwin, senior vice president of marketing for Asset Campus Housing.

Goodwin added that the success for an early lease-up is attributed to the fact that both Domus Development and ACH built great relationships with the university and city early on, Domus was very communicative with ACH throughout the development and leasing process, and that Domus and ACH had solid, hands-on leadership on the ground.
