Best College Reviews Names The Top 50 College Newman Centers

WOODBURN, OR – Best College Reviews, a ranking service for American colleges and universities, has released a list of the Top 50 Newman Centers. Data was gathered from the centers’ websites and Newman Connections, an online institute that promotes and connects Newman Centers. The ranking was based on the total number and percentage of Catholic students served, spiritual offerings such as daily Mass, relationship to the local parish, and the facilities.

The ranking can be viewed at www.bestcollegereviews.org

Universities today have many different student groups from Greeks, Muslim Students Association, Anime, Young Republicans, German Students, and many others. Newman Centers, named after the famous 19th century English intellectual and convert, John Henry Newman, whose work The Idea of a University is still studied in schools around the world today, function as a place for young Catholics to further religious ideals and goals through prayer, study, religious services, community service and relationship-building activities.

Nick Plato, the article’s author, says this about the list: “Being a Catholic myself, but not being involved in a Newman Center in my college experience, and noticing that not many ranking sites have specifically focused on Newman Centers, I thought it would be both interesting and a service to young Catholics seeking a positive and meaningful university experience to compile a list of the best Newman Centers in the country.”
