Baylor University Announces Partnership with Study Group to Prepare International Students for Success

NEW YORK, NY – Study Group, a global education firm, and Baylor University are proud to announce a partnership to establish an international study center on the university’s prestigious campus in Waco, TX. Ranked 75 in national universities, Baylor's International Study Center will be one of the highest ranked international pathway programs in the U.S.

As a Tier 1 University, Baylor provides students with limitless options to enhance their university study experience. Academically, the challenge of Baylor's standards is evident throughout its more than 140 undergraduate and 75 master's programs across 9 colleges. Most notably, Baylor's business program is an amazing opportunity for innovative minds, wherein students start their own business in anticipation of graduation, a program that is ranked 5th in the nation for entrepreneurship. Baylor's Engineering program is ranked in the top 125 nationally for undergraduate students, and, at the Master's level, Baylor offers programs ranked nationally in the top 10 for Health Care Management, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Trial Advocacy.

As students reach graduation, Baylor's Career and Professional Development Center prepares them for success initiating their careers. From résumé creation to job fairs, students have access to the many partnerships amongst the community and industries tied to Baylor University. Students are poised to realize their full potential and career goals after completing their degree. The holistic care and education provided by Baylor University is the perfect environment for international students.

"Growing our international population from 3.6 percent to 10 percent over the next 10 years is part of our long-term diversity plan," says Jessica King Gereghty, Baylor's assistant vice president of Undergraduate Admissions & Enrollment. "Through Study Group's more than 24 years of expertise in international student recruitment and education, Baylor will attract quality, global-minded international students and provide them the support to ensure their success."

Beyond the classroom, students have the opportunity to partake in research, whether at Baylor's state-of-the-art BRIC (Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative) or any of the other 15 research centers on campus. Topics of research range from Electrical Engineering to Non-profit Leadership, Reservoir & Aquatic Systems, Religion, Politics and Society, and Professional Selling, just to name a few. Socially, students can partake in a variety of on and off campus activities, ranging from theatre to sports, through more than 350 clubs and organizations. Newly arrived students have access to exclusive seats at each Baylor home football game as they learn the meaning of being a Baylor Bear.

"We are excited to be working with Baylor, a partner who can provide international students a unique opportunity," states Emily Williams Knight, Ed.D., managing director of Study Group, Higher Education North America. "We've worked hard to build a North American portfolio of schools that ensures we have a seat for every student; offering pricing, programmatic and geographic diversity. Our partnership with Baylor offers well-rounded, ambitious, academically strong students with a top educational experience and a tight-knit community they will remain a part of for the rest of their lives."

Study Group will provide global marketing and recruitment services, along with admissions and on-campus language and student support services to grow and nurture Baylor's international student population.
