Call for Nominations for the 2019 AMA Foundation Higher Education Marketer of the Year Award

CHICAGO – The American Marketing Association (AMA) is accepting nominations for the 2019 AMA Foundation Higher Education Marketer of the Year Award.

The AMA Foundation Higher Education Marketer of the Year Award honors extraordinary leadership and achievement in marketing for higher education. The award is presented by the AMA and founding sponsor Lipman Hearne.

Awards are presented to one outstanding individual marketer and one outstanding marketing team. The winners will be announced at the 2019 AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education happening November 10-13, 2019, at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV.

“The AMA strives to recognize the highest level of achievement in marketing excellence, and this award continues that tradition among one of our most robust communities of professional marketers at the AMA.” says Barbara Grobicki, Chief Alliances & Foundation officer at the AMA.

“It is our pleasure to partner with the AMA to make this award possible,” says Peter Barber, executive vice president, Business and Account Development at Lipman Hearne. “Lipman Hearne believes in furthering excellence in the marketing field, and this award recognizes those who carry that torch in higher education.”

To be eligible for the award, individual nominees and teams must be currently employed at a higher education institution with a focus on the branding, marketing, and communications aspects of a college or university. All nominees will be considered regardless of organization size and budget. There will be two awards bestowed, one award recognizing an individual thought leader and one award recognizing an outstanding marketing team.

Nominations can be made at ama.marketing/HEMY. The deadline is August 23, 2019.

A panel consisting of a mix of marketing experts and practitioners will serve on the selection committee. All judges will be leaders and experts in the field of higher education marketing with careers as marketing academics, consultants, and practitioners.
