Ecore, Spartan Surfaces Relaunch Popular Flooring Line

Ecore, a company that converts reclaimed materials into a variety of performances surfaces, announced this week that it is partnering with flooring sales and marketing company Spartan Surfaces to relaunch its popular ECOsurfaces product line. A press release notes that the goal of the collaboration is to re-establish commitment to the sustainability goals of the design community.

“ECOsurfaces has always been our environmental banner to the A&D community. This strategic collaboration reinforces our commitment to a circular business model and elevates our commitment to being a leader in creating floors that do MORE for both people and the planet,” said Bo Barber, Ecore’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “The support of Spartan Surfaces, a major player in sales and marketing for the commercial flooring industry, puts significant momentum behind this already successful collection by making it more readily available to the A&D community.”

The ECOsurfaces portfolio is made up of six flooring product solutions:

  • The RX Collection was designed for healthcare, senior living areas and fitness facilities. The surfaces were crafted to reduce injuries sustained during slip-and-fall accidents while still providing sound dampening and comfort.
  • Aurora was designed for comfort and safety, featuring a polyurethane-coated, calendared-rubber wear layer bonded to a vulcanized composition rubber (VCR) backing.
  • ECOsilence serves as a flat, VCR underlayer to be placed under most floor finishes.
  • ECOsurfaces was designed for heavy-use, high-traffic commercial environments like schools, childcare and play zones, gyms, building entrances, offices and more. The surface is 3.2 mm thick and comes in more than 30 colors.
  • Origins features a design merging Ecore’s past and present. Cork added to the VCR opens up unlimited combinations of design and color.
  • The Wellness Collection is made up of rubber, vinyl and turf surfaces for a variety of fitness and therapeutic uses.

“Spartan Surfaces has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with Ecore and its products. Together, we have pioneered a greater environmental awareness in the commercial community,” said Sean Swanson, vice president of strategic growth at Spartan Surfaces. “The re-launch of ECOsurfaces not only strengthens this partnership, but it also will play right into our strengths of building relationships with the end user and design community. The ECOsurfaces brand will be a key product in our expansion plans across the U.S.”
