Close your eyes and imagine an indoor classroom. We all see some variation of the same thing, right? Now, close your eyes and try to picture an outdoor classroom. Odds are, we're all imagining different things. Because there's no template for what an outdoor classroom is "supposed to" look like, the sky's the limit for how schools can incorporate outdoor learning and outdoor classrooms into their schools. On this episode of Schools in Focus, our guest is Brad Pittam, president of the International Play Equipment Manufacturer’s Association, or IPEMA.     Swansea Public Schools in Swansea, Mass., recently announced that it has selected Finegold Alexander Architects to design a new junior high school for the district, according to a news release. The firm will create the Feasibility Study and Schematic Design for Joseph Case Junior High School after a lengthy selection process by the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA).
