Zurn Elkay Releases 2025 Sustainability Report

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions recently announced the release of its annual sustainability report, according to a news release. The 2025 report discusses the organization’s efforts to maintain good environmental stewardship and the solutions provided in helping customers meet sustainability goals. Major topics include expanding access to clean water, advancing filtration technology, and strengthening environmental stewardship including filter recycling.

“We believe clean water is essential to every part of life,” said Todd A. Adams, Chairman and CEO of Zurn Elkay. “As the world increasingly faces water conservation and contamination issues, our role as a leader in water management is to meet those challenges with practical, innovative solutions that set new standards for water efficiency, safety and quality.”

According to the news release, during 2025, the organization prevented 20 billion plastic bottles from entering waterways and landfills; it delivered 2.4 billion gallons of clean, safe, filtered drinking water; it expanded water filtration capabilities across a broader range of PFAS; it validated two of its plants as zero-waste-to-landfill; and it set a new goal of reducing water withdrawal intensity by three percent by 2030.

“We create solutions that make water safer and more sustainable,” said Adams, “and that purpose continues to guide our actions, from our product innovations to how we care for our associates, customers and communities.”

Zurn Elkay’s commercial-grade filters provided those 2.4 billion gallons to schools, hospitals, workplaces, and other public spaces, the news release reports. The Fountains for Youth charitable giving program also donates bottle-filling stations to schools in low-resource communities.

It also further engaged with the Global Water Council’s WAVE: Assess program, as well as boosted its procurement of renewable electricity and emissions reductions. Finally, it partnered with TerraCycle to create a recycling program for used filters.
