ISSA Member Companies, ISSA, & HSC Earn EPA Safer Choice Partner of the Year Award

Northbrook, Ill. — ISSA member companies; ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association; and ISSA green-cleaning partner, Healthy Schools Campaign (HSC), were awarded the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 2016 Safer Choice Partner of the Year Award.

The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate commitment to the EPA Safer Choice program and its goal of protecting human health and the environment through the advancement of chemical safety. In addition to related participation efforts, these companies and organizations exhibit exemplary promotion of the Safer Choice label, which identifies products with less invasive ingredients, making the environment healthier and more sustainable for all.

These 12 recipients of this year’s Safer Choice Partner of the Year Award were honored during a public ceremony, May 9, 2016, at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.

According to a news release, the findings highlight a gap between K–12 leaders’ wishes for school safety and how safe the schools actually are, as well as the challenges facing students and staff in that goal.
