Tennessee Nursery Offers $1,500 College Scholarship

NASHVILLE, TN – At the Tennessee Wholesale Nursery (TN Nursery), it is believed that supporting students helps them shape a better future for everyone. It is also understood that the cost of a college education can make it difficult for students to reach their full potential. In order to make students educational journey a little more affordable, TN Nursery is proud to offer a $1,500 college scholarship towards the accredited school of their choice.

To apply go here: www.tnnursery.net/tn-nursery-scholarship-fund.

Who can apply?
This scholarship is open to all students without geographic restrictions. TN Nursery staff may be passionate about horticulture and botany, but it is understood that there are many avenues of study. TN Nursery wants to support people wherever they are in their educational process, so students in any major are welcome to apply. The student must prove that he or she attends an accredited college or university.

What are the application requirements?
The main part of the application is an essay about the applicant as a person. This essay must be at least 500 words in length. TN Nursery wants to know about the person the applicant is and how they have reached this place in their life. TN Nursery wants to learn a bit about the applicant's life story. TN Nursery wants to hear what the students are passionate about and how their educational goals are shaped by that passion. TN Nursery is also interested in the challenges the applicants are facing and the challenges they have overcome to get where they are today. It would also be helpful to hear some of their hopes and dreams and where they see themselves in the next few years.

In addition, the staff at the TN Nursery would like to know some details about the student's family life. Many of the TN Nursery staff members grew up in challenging circumstances. If they are the first generation in their family to go to college, that is an important detail. Information about their parents' occupations will also help inform TN Nursery’s decision.

Finally, TN Nursery wants to know how the applicants are doing academically. The applicant will need to include their GPA as well as any information about other scholarships they have received.

The deadline for the essay and application is June 30, 2020, and the essay will be submitted via email to [email protected].

How is the winner selected and notified?
One of the biggest challenges TN Nursery faces in this process is choosing a winner. TN Nursery is always amazed at the number of motivated and talented students who submit applications. After they have carefully read every submitted essay, the scholarship will be awarded to a single winner. Students who receive the award letter, must send back letter of acceptance in order for the funds to be dispersed. Once we have heard back from you, we will send a company check to your selected college or university. As part of accepting the scholarship, we will release your name to several news outlets and post it on our website.

The staff at Tennessee Wholesale Nursery are excited to do their small part in helping a student achieve success. We look forward to hearing from the applicants. If interested in the TN Nursery scholarship, to apply, visit this website.
