Kimball International Wins Award from Women in Healthcare

Furnishings company Kimball International recently received the Outstanding Organization Award from Women in Healthcare. The award was presented on Oct. 21 at the 2021 LeadHERship Summit in Baltimore, Md. According to a news release, Kimball’s Elevate leadership development program, which offers coaching and experiential learning projects to employees with high leadership potential, was a major deciding factor.

In addition to the Elevate program, Women in Healthcare also recognized Kimball’s dedication to diversity within its Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team, as well a company environment of dignity and respect. Jill Joseph, Manager, Health A&D Strategy for Kimball International, accepted the award.

“This program brings leaders throughout our organization together to tackle organizational goals, strengthen individual problem-solving skills and more,” said Joseph of the year-long, immersive Elevate program. “We are so excited to receive this award and to continue to provide development opportunities for women leaders in the company.”

According to a news release, Women in Healthcare presents the Outstanding Organization Award annually to recognize initiatives and programs that align with the organization’s values. Women in Healthcare encourages the professional development of women in the industry via networking, mentorship and education. It collaborates with 20 local chapters around the U.S.
