OM Seating’s Plot Twist Solution Gathers Accolades

The Plot Twist—a mobile, rotating pouf featuring a variety of customizations—has recently received a number of awards across the educational, healthcare, and commercial verticals, according to a news release from its manufacturer, OM Seating.

The seat features an optional connected tablet of adjustable height that can swivel around the seat for right- or left-hand use. Other configurations include a back rest, a retracting nautical rope handle, a skid base or castors. Its fixed and adjustable-height table tops come in two shapes, and the adjustable height offers a height range of 10 inches, the news release reports.

In November, the Plot Twist won Best in Show at EDspaces, a leading trade show for K–12 environments. In September, it won Healthcare Design’s 2022 Gold Award for Guest / Lounge Seating. And in June, it won a variety of 2022 Best of NeoCon awards including the Gold and Innovation Awards in the Seating: Stools category and an Innovation Award in the Collections for Collaboration category.

“We’re grateful and humbled by the overwhelming response,” said OM President Wilson Chow. “We imagined Plot Twist as a design-forward, intuitive workseat for all sorts of learning, working, and healing spaces. It’s gratifying to see our intentions recognized with such enthusiasm.”
