Adelphi University Launches $100M Fundraising Campaign

Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y., recently launched The Momentum Campaign: Extraordinary Impact, a $100-million fundraising initiative, at a gala on campus, according to a news release. The campaign is set to last through 2027 and fund six strategic priorities to improve success on campus. The campaign has already raised $75 million toward the goal.

"The Momentum Campaign will transform our university by increasing affordability, enhancing academic offerings, strengthening students' career outcomes and expanding campus renovations," said Adelphi University President Christine M. Riordan. "Adelphi students will feel the campaign's impact immediately, and its legacy will be the bold future we create as an engine for social mobility and student success."

Campus renovations planned within the Momentum Campaign include classroom modernization and revitalization, as well as expanding and upgrading technology within lab spaces. New construction projects would include a new multidisciplinary science building, a new Health and Wellness Center, and renovated athletic facilities, according to the university website.

"Building on a solid foundation and responsible stewardship, the campaign reflects Adelphi's commitment to transformation and long-term impact," said Thomas Kline, university vice president for advancement and external relations. "The campaign will strengthen our community's connectedness and ensure a future where Adelphi continues to make an extraordinary impact on our students and community."
