Kimball International Launches New Furniture for K–12 Classrooms

Commercial furnishings company Kimball International recently announced the launch of four new products designed for a variety of professional environments, including K–12 schools, according to a news release. Designed for functionality, they all include new cleanability features and surface-material options to support both productivity and well-being.

Alterna Z-shaped lockers can be placed in exam rooms, staff workplaces, and lobby areas and come in a thorough array of sizes, configurations, and built-in features. The components can be easily installed but also easily removed, reconfigured, and repurposed as needed. The Z-shape creates storage space for longer jackets and coats, and the doors come in standard laminate colors to blend into existing environments, according to the news release.

Mariben, a new height-adjustable table, features a thin crescent base that fits underneath seating while also making room for chair legs. The smooth tops come in a variety of shapes designed for taking notes, laptop use, or relaxation. They also feature an optional spill groove for quick cleaning.

Jovalie, a curved lounge chair, was created for collaborative or cooperative spaces. The units come with one, two, or three seats and feature a push-through clean out. The chair features an 18” seat height and integrated power and data options, the news release reports.

Finally, Nate & Natty is a line of seating including side chairs, conference chairs, lounge seating, and coordinating stools. The simple design comes with or without arms with a range of bases and an optional clean out feature.

More information on all four products is available on the Kimball website.
