ZeroEyes, Academic Innovators Partner to Provide Safety Solutions
ZeroEyes, which produces a multi-analytics weapons detection and threat intelligence platform, recently announced a partnership with Academic Innovators, according to a news release. Academic Innovators provides solutions within higher-education programs, facilities, and governance, and the two companies will utilize their complementary strengths to address both short- and long-term safety challenges at colleges and universities.
“We are pleased to partner with ZeroEyes to provide integrated solutions that not only help higher education leaders navigate evolving operational and financial pressures, but also enhance campus safety and resilience in an increasingly complex threat landscape,” said Dr. Brian C. Mitchell, Academic Innovators’ managing principal and president.
Academic Innovators serves as a referral program for partners and professionals from higher education including legal experts, financial advisors, edtech providers, investment bankers, and public policy experts, the news release reports. Experts from different backgrounds advise universities with regards to anticipating changes and navigating complex markets.
ZeroEyes, meanwhile, provides AI-powered analytics and tools to assist in weapons detection and real-time threat location. Its goal is to boost preparedness, identify potential threats quickly, and enact the proper response. Analytics provide real-time intelligence on the appearance or brandishing of weapons like guns and knives in occupied spaces. The information, including images and location data, can be sent to local staff and law enforcement within seconds of detection, the news release reports.
“By combining our proactive safety technology with Academic Innovators’ forward-looking, multidisciplinary expertise, we’re helping institutions respond to threats faster and plan more effectively for a safer, more resilient future,” said ZeroEyes cofounder and CEO Mike Lahiff. “We are proud to partner with them.”
