California Southern University Named Among Orange County's Best Places to Work

IRVINE, CA — California Southern University has been recognized as one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in Orange County. The annual survey and awards program is conducted by the Orange County Business Journal and Best Companies Group.

Originated in 2009, the Best Places to Work program seeks to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Orange County, benefiting the county’s economy and workforce. Assessment is a two-part process. The first evaluates each company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics. The second consists of an employee survey designed to measure satisfaction with the organization’s policies and practices regarding leadership, training and professional development, communication, benefits and resources, among other areas.

“The university is honored and gratified to be included on the 2014 Best Places to Work in Orange County list,” says Dr. Caroll Ryan, president of CalSouthern. “We take great pride in our culture of caring and respect. Riepe Center for Advanced Veterinary Education is the first dedicated classroom facility at the New Bolton Center, a large-animal hospital and campus about 35 miles west of the campus proper.

    Concordia College Completes Memorial Auditorium Renovations

    Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., recently completed a $2.5-million renovation project to Memorial Auditorium, a news release reports. The college partnered with Kraus-Anderson for the project’s construction and ICON Architectural Group for its design.
