Ground Breaking Celebrated for Connecticut High School

A ground breaking was held recently for a modernized New London High School in New London, Conn. The North Campus project is going to be home to students in grades 6 through 12 and will feature special facilities for STEM, visual and performing arts and foreign languages.

The project will cost roughly $98 million and will begin with a complete reconstruction of the running track, which is on-track for an August completion. New construction on New London’s South Campus is expected to begin in 2019 following the completion of initial phases of the North Campus.

The new facility for Wayside Middle School, originally established in 1964, was built on the site of the former district administration building and funded through Bond Proposition A in 2023.
