HPM, Texas K–12 District Partner for Six Groundbreakings in 2022

Program management firm HPM recently announced that during the first year of its partnership with the Manor Independent School District near Austin, Texas, ground was broken on six educational facilities during 2022, according to a news release. The three-year partnership is valued at $174 million, and HPM is offering program management, quality control, and preconstruction services across the district’s facility-based projects and new construction.

Projects include Early College High School, which measures 85,000 square feet and will open for the 2023–24 school year to 800 students; a 116,000-square-foot K–8 Technology campus; a 42,217-square-foot multipurpose facility for Manor New Tech High School; a 34,000-square-foot multipurpose facility and 8,760-square-foot practice gymnasium for Manor Senior High School; and a 95,000-square-foot, two-story new elementary school for 720 students.

“We are pleased with the progress on these significant projects bringing new learning opportunities to the Manor Independent School District, which is sure to raise the standard for K–12 education in the market,” said Andrew Betts, HPM Senior Program Manager. “Our partnership with Manor ISD has proven to be valuable on both sides, and we have enjoyed getting to know the wonderful people on the school board along with the City of Manor officials as we work to bring these new facilities to completion. I am especially proud of my team at HPM for continuing to provide top-of-the-line program management services to ensure that each of these project stays on time, allowing students to utilize the facilities as soon as possible and at the highest quality.”

The series of construction projects is part of a $280-million bond package that Manor voters approved in November 2019 to accommodate student growth, upgrade and repair facilities, and improve district security and technology. 2022 was the first year of a contracted three-year partnership between HPM and the school district.
