Kraus-Anderson Continues Work in Minnesota School District

Maple River Schools in Mapleton, Minn., recently began construction on another project included in a district long-range facilities plan. Construction management firm Kraus-Anderson recently began work on two new classrooms and an outdoor track and field facility, according to a news release. The track facility will include a discus & shotput area, as well as a sand-jump pit.

The district partnered with ISG to design the project, which has an estimated completion date of July 2025. Funding comes from a $63.3-milllion bond referendum passed in February 2020, the news release reports.

As part of the same facilities plan, Kraus-Anderson recently completed the construction of Maple Rivers Schools, a K–12 school that covers four rural counties in Minnesota. The 200,000-square-foot campus includes three gymnasiums, a 500-seat auditorium, and a middle/high-school wing with specialized career-tech classrooms, according to the news release.

It also includes new CTE learning spaces for the school’s nursing assistant, pharmacy, and sports medicine programs.

    Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga., recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new, nine-story, 155,000-square-foot Research Tower, according to university news. Amenities include academic classrooms, a large lecture space, teaching labs, faculty research space, and the uppermost floors reserved for future expansion.
